Writer Bio

Currently, I attend Drexel University (Class of ‘24!), where I major in Biology through the BS/MD program. Ultimately, I hope to become a physician and work to promote equitable healthcare systems internationally. On campus, I serve as the Freshman Class Vice President for USGA, and off campus, I serve as an instructor for the Citizen’s Science Lab. In my free time, I enjoy going on nature walks and making way too many Spotify playlists!

Research Interests

Immunology

Previously, I conducted research at the University of Pittsburgh’s Department of Dermatology, where I investigated mast cell-neural interactions within mice models. This invaluable experience drove my interest into immunopathology and ultimately, the immune system as the future of therapeutic treatment.

Health and Social Justice

Medicine does not exist in the vacuum of a laboratory setting: clinical treatment demands physicians to confront systems of inequity that have deepened disparities for marginalized communities. By further studying the complex intersection of race, gender, and class within medicine, I hope to advocate for once-silenced communities.

Health Policy Reform

Outside of medicine, I remain interested in understanding the complex history of inequity in government, and how policy should ultimately be reformed.
